Original Skunk #1 is the direct descendent of the famous Skunk line that began with the legendary Skunk #1 which was created by Sacred Seeds way back in the late 1960s - early 1970s when cross-breeding different cannabis strains for desired characteristics was seeing the first fruits of its labours. It was introduced to the Dutch as the first stabilised cannabis hybrid strain. Bred by crossing Afghani indica together with Mexican "Acapulco Gold" and Colombian Gold sativa strains it brought together such traits as the great taste and high of sativas with the resin production, bud density and reduced flowering times of the best indicas.
Skunk #1 has long been an inbred strain which means its offspring conform to a consistent pattern from identical plants. Since its introduction it has been one of the most well-used and useful breeding strains contributing to almost all of the "Skunk" strains and adding its superior genetics to many other mush-loved types of cannabis. In effect it represent s something of a "gold standard" in cannabis breeding.
It thrives indoors and also does very well in green houses. Outdoors it is best left to warmer Mediterranean climates and will be ready to harvest during the month of October. Indoors flowering lasts for about 9 weeks before golden or light green buds packed with resin crystals will be yours. Yields are very high as is its level of THC.
