Heavyweight Seeds started in mid-2008, when their team visited a local cultivator who had obtained incredible results from his latest crop. They purchased clones of his mother plants and bought them back to Spain with them.

To preserve these special phenotypes more efficiently, Heavyweight Seeds decided to create their own gene pool. It took about a year to ready their products for the market and create a brand, which has become Heavyweight Seeds.

Heavyweight Seeds use extreme germination methods during the breeding process. They put the seeds in places where humidity and temperature variables are adaptable, forcing them to germinate in poor conditions. They then work with the plants that have passed the first stage.
