NL#5 x Haze is very much a case of opposites attracting! NL#5 is a very hard-hitting indica and Haze represents the apogee of sativa breeding programmes. Together they create a cannabis strain that to this day is considered unequalled by many connoisseurs.
NL#5 x Haze is a tall, 70% sativa plant that produces XXL harvests of connoisseur quality buds. Primarily an indoor strain except for Mediterranean climate regions. Such is the stretch that this strain undergoes it is recommended to give these plants a short period of vegetative growth; in fact plants that are put into flowering as freshly rooted cuttings or seedlings will still reach a height of a meter or more. Flowering indoors is between 65 - 75 days and at the half-way stage the spaces between inter-nodes are already filled while the second half of flowering will see the colas getting fatter and fatter so that they are bigger than a man's arm. Outdoors it can grow into a veritable tree and harvest will be from mid-October through to mid-November so cultivation is very much restricted to areas with no early frosts or heavy rains.
The plants are incredibly uniform when grown from seed but it is also a very simple plant from which to take and root cuttings and mother plants have been shown to produce killer cuts for a decade or more with no loss of quality and potency. The effect is simply a superb, soaring, psychedelic sativa high. It's so good many growers just focus on this one strain year after year.
