Critical is the perfect combination of speed of growth, yield and quality. It is known as the perfect cash-cropper in the Netherlands. Although quite a compact plant its short inter-nodal spacing results in very good yields. It is a cross of Afghani and Skunk strains and is 60% indica, 40% sativa.
Critical can be grown indoors and also outdoors. Indoor plants will reach a height of between 80 - 140 cm tall with outdoor plants considerably bigger at 180 - 220 cm. Although it can be brought to maturity in northern European countries such as the Netherlands and the UK it will perform better and with bigger harvests in warmer climates with a lot more sun such as is found in the Mediterranean. Indoor yields are in the region of 550 - 600 gr/m2 under 600 watt grow lights with flowering lasting for 7 - 8 weeks. Either Sea of green or Screen of Green are the recommended techniques where overall production is the primary aim. Outdoors yields can be as high as 650 gr/plant with late September harvests north of the equator.
THC production is high at 18% and the CBD level is low at below 1%. The effect is very good and satisfying, a very nice, mellow stone that relaxes without necessarily incapacitating the smoker.
