Bubba Hash is an F1 hybrid cannabis strain that was bred from two different Afghani types. The well-known Hash Plant from the 1990s was crossed with the more recently developed Bubba Kush to give birth to a 90% indica plant that is ideal for harvesting resin from to make into hashish. Its flowering clusters are densely packed with great tasting resin-producing trichomes that yield a very relaxing, medicinal effect.
Bubba Hash grows with a columnar profile which really lends itself to dense planting in an indoor growing environment. Due to its Afghan heritage it displays a very good tolerance to temperature extremes both hot and cold and this quality means that it can be grown outdoors up to 47° of latitude. At the same time it has above average resistance to mildew and both spider mites and white fly. Outdoors it will be ready to harvest during the month of September in the northern hemisphere. Indoors the flowering stage takes 8 - 9 weeks to complete its cycle.
Yields are high from its dense buds with THC levels around 15% - 18%. During cultivation the demand for nutrients can be quite high depending on environmental conditions. When dried and cured the buds exude aromas of hash, coffee and wet earth after a rain shower. The effect of Bubba hash is pleasantly clear in the head with a very relaxing body-stone. It is claimed to be very effective medicinally for pain relief, anxiety and insomnia.
